Master's Program
"Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries" (AI4CI)

The part-time Master's program "Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries" (AI4CI) at the University of Ulm addresses the growing need for professionals who can integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into connected industrial systems. AI is considered a key technology of the future and is crucial across almost all sectors, including the economy, science, health, and administration. The AI4CI program offers specialized training for professionals working in Industry 4.0, focusing on the integration of AI into connected environments, such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

AI4CI is designed for professionals in technical, scientific, and engineering fields who wish to expand their knowledge in AI. The program offers a flexible module structure, allowing students to tailor their study path and balance their professional commitments with their studies. The practical and international design of the program is supported by collaborations with renowned partner universities. These include the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) in Paris and CNAM Grand Est in Mulhouse, France; Avignon Université (AU) in Avignon, France; Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain; National Technical University of Ukraine (NTUU) in Kyiv, Ukraine; and Universitatea Babeş-Bolyai (UBB) in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. These partnerships enable students to complete modules both in Ulm and at the partner universities, benefiting from a broad international network.

The AI4CI program offers graduates diverse career opportunities in forward-looking areas such as the development of AI algorithms, data science in connected environments, system integration for IIoT, and the optimization of cloud-based systems. Students acquire interdisciplinary competencies that qualify them for responsible positions in connected industries. Additionally, the program promotes lifelong learning and self-reflection, enabling graduates to continuously advance their education in a rapidly evolving technological field.
