Proof of your publication

You can republish externally published content on OPARU (including PDF or files, see "Making a publication") or simply report the bibliographic details. In both cases, the publication will subsequently be part of OPARU / the University Bibliography of Ulm University. Please note that in the case of references without uploading PDFs / files, only those that have been created as part of an activity at Ulm University will be included.
A reference without uploading files proceeds as follows:

Users with a kiz account (firstname.surname(at)uni-ulm.de): If you have a kiz account, you must use it to log in. The user account in OPARU will be created automatically. You can start reporting a publication immediately. If your kiz account expires in the next few days, please choose the second registration method.

Users without a kiz account: Only if you do not have a kiz account, please complete a one-time registration for OPARU. Then send the completed e-mail template, which will be displayed after registration, to the Publication Management Service Point (kiz.publikationsmanagement(at)uni-ulm.de) so that they can activate you for the verification of your publications. Please note that you will not be offered any collections for publication references unless you have been activated by the Service Point. The processing of such a request takes some time and generally only takes place on working days.

Once the reported data has been published, you will lose your authorization again, as it is not valid indefinitely. If you would like to provide proof of publications again, please contact the Publication Management Service Point so that it can check whether you are still authorized.

First log in with your account details. Select "Publications" in the right-hand menu and then "Start a new publication". You will now be offered various collections. Select the appropriate collection. You will receive information on the appropriate collection directly on the selection page.

Follow the individual steps in OPARU.

  • Describe the publication.
  • Check the metadata entered for the publication.
  • When you are finished, click on "Complete process". After an internal review process, the publication will be released and you will receive a notification
