Doctoral scholarships under the Postgraduate Scholarships Act of the Land of Baden-Wuerttemberg (LGFG) are granted to highly qualified Phd students. The scholarship sum corresponds to similar amounts granted by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and may be supplemented with achild allowance. Funding will be provided for up to three years.

Applications will only be considered if the supervisor of the PhD thesis works in the respective area. These scholarships are exclusively for PhD theses which are done at Ulm University.

Scholarships are granted upon a public call initially for a period of one year. For  a prolongation please submit a request latest 4 weeks before the end of the funding period. The request shall include an application form for renewal of the scholarship, a short (1 page) report on the progress of your work and a written opinion by your supervisor.
