On September 25, 2015 at the 
ESS meeting 2015 in Cologne, Markus Huber-Lang was elected President-Elect of the European Shock Society ESS. Shortly after being elected, he said, that he is very much looking forward to working in a strong ESS team and especially together with the current ESS president, Jean-Marc Cavaillon, Paris, France. Furthermore, Markus Huber-Lang indicated that early career support and educational efforts in trauma-shock research will be in focus of his upcoming presidential term in 2017-2019.
