As a young research university, Ulm University is dedicated to addressing the global challenges of the future – at the highest level. This is quite literally the case, as we are the highest-altitude university in Germany.
We stand out thanks to our clear focus on medicine and STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the excellent quality of our education, and our top-level research. We educate around 10,000 students. Research and teaching are linked by curiosity, passion and commitment – at the highest level. We set the pace within the Science City, Ulm's centre of technology and knowledge transfer.
At Ulm University, we focus on four future-oriented profile areas: Green Energy, Quantum Technologies, Life-long Health and Interdisciplinary Data Sciences & Artificial Intelligence. We enjoy a globally excellent reputation in these areas and set standards with our research.
Our four faculties offer more than 60 study programmes taught in German and English. They provide a custom-made range of courses for tomorrow's professionals. Our graduates have excellent job and career prospects.
Our scientific findings directly benefit the economy, society and politics and contribute to prosperity and growth in the region. As the beating heart of the Science City Ulm, we are a driving force behind this centre of research institutions, high-tech companies and hospitals.
At Ulm University, we are shaping the future together – with a clear focus and at the highest level.
